About Sonya
Founder of Sedonya Conscious Living Center, a sanctuary in Sedona devoted to healing, transformation, conscious community, and the remembrance of what it means to truly live from the heart.
For years, Sonya has curated and guided experiences that weave together sound, ceremony, nourishment, presence, and deep connection to the natural and energetic landscape of Sedona.
Her work is rooted in the understanding that healing is not something imposed from outside of us, but something remembered and awakened through resonance, beauty, intention, and authentic human connection.
Central to Sonya’s offerings is the transformative power of sound.
Her ceremonial sound immersions often feature sacred gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, voice, and vibrational instruments designed to create deeply restorative states within the nervous system and energetic body.
At the heart of many ceremonies is her 150-year-old gong from Myanmar, whose profound resonance has become a signature element of the Sedonya experience.
Known for creating spaces that feel both grounding and expansive, Sonya’s work invites people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and enter into deeper coherence with life, spirit, and one another.
Beyond sound and ceremony, Sonya is also deeply devoted to the art of conscious hospitality — believing that beauty, food, environment, and human presence are all part of the healing experience. Through Sedonya, she has helped cultivate a gathering place for seekers, teachers, artists, healers, and communities from around the world.
Her approach is intuitive, heart-centered, and experiential — less about performance and more about creating the conditions for genuine transformation, remembrance, and resonance to naturally emerge.

GRATITUDE
Ceremonial Blue Moon Sound Healing
with Kristina Sophia Powers & Sonya
Sunday May 31, 2026
7:00 pm - 8:15pm
$37 per person
Under the rare light of the Blue Full Moon, we gather in sacred circle for an evening devoted to one of the most transformative frequencies available to the human heart: gratitude.
A Blue Moon is traditionally seen as a powerful amplifier — a rare lunar portal that magnifies intention, emotion, prayer, and energetic activation. What is spoken, felt, sung, and embodied beneath this moon carries unusual potency.
It is a time to consciously align with what we wish to expand within ourselves and within our lives.
This ceremonial sound immersion is designed to awaken gratitude not merely as a thought, but as a living vibration within the body.
The evening begins with a participatory gratitude ceremony through voice, rhythm, breath, drumming, and toning, followed by Sonya opening the resonant voice of her 150-year-old sacred gong from Myanmar — a powerful invocation calling the nervous system, heart, and spirit into coherence and presence.
The gong becomes a threshold between worlds, clearing stagnant energies and preparing the field for deeper activation.
Together, we will explore how sound can unlock emotional expression, dissolve inhibition, and attune the body to the frequency of appreciation, reverence, and aliveness.
Kristina Sophia Powers will guide the group through vocal activation and sacred rhythm practices inspired by ancient communal traditions of song and frame drum. Through shared tones, chanting, resonance, and percussion, participants are invited to soften fear, open the throat chakra, and reconnect with authentic expression.
As the evening unfolds, the space will become immersed in layers of healing sound including:
-
Sacred gong frequencies
-
Crystal singing bowls
-
Tibetan bowls
-
Frame drum
-
Voice activation and toning
-
Percussion and rhythm
-
Sonic meditation and vibrational healing
Kristina’s voice — woven through rhythm and resonance — creates an ethereal, cathedral-like field of sound that many experience as deeply emotional, cleansing, grounding, and expansive.
This is an opportunity to gather beneath the amplified light of the Blue Moon and tune your body, voice, and heart toward gratitude as a living frequency.
Many traditions believe gratitude is not simply an emotion — it is a magnetic state of consciousness capable of transforming perception, healing emotional stagnation, and opening pathways for deeper connection, creativity, abundance, and spiritual clarity.
Together, through sound, rhythm, and presence, we will invoke that frequency into the body and allow it to move through us.
Come ready to release.
Come ready to sound.
Come ready to remember what becomes possible when gratitude is fully felt.
Sunday evening at Sedonya.
