Around the Center

Elena Maria Larsen
Elena Maria Larsen is a yoga and sound meditation facilitator with more than 1,000 hours of advanced training in Kundalini, Sattva Himalayan Kriya, Satya, and Therapeutic Uses of Yoga; bridging this timeless spiritual practice with grounded approach to modern embodiment practices. Her offerings weave breathwork, mantra, mudra and mindful movement to awaken pranic flow, harmonize the nervous system, increase vitality, amplify health and empower inner strength and resolve.
Elena’s path to yoga began through a personal journey of healing after an incident that left her physically altered and with a bionic foot. She dedicated herself to healing and expansion through yoga, art, cycling and sound healing and was later guided to Kundalini yoga, a practice that helped her transmute the weight of C-Ptsd into renewed strength and inner light. Elena is devoted to her daily sadhana, continuing her education of Yoga and embodying the exercises she brings forward in the classes she teaches.
A Gentle Journey Into Stillness and Renewal
Sedonya Conscious Living Center
Tuesdays at 6pm to 7pm
Kriya, a Sanskrit word meaning “evolutionary action” or “purifying movement,” refers to intentional practices that unite breath, movement, mantra, mudra, and focus. Through these sacred techniques, practitioners learn to direct prana—life force energy—through the body in purposeful ways, supporting the nervous system, brain, and respiratory health while awakening and cleansing the subtle energy body.
Evening Kriya Set and Sound Savasana is a mostly seated, meditative practice designed to calm the system and invite peaceful awareness at day’s end. Drawing from Sattva Himalayan Kriya, Kundalini, and Bhakti Yoga traditions, each session becomes a unique inner journey—perhaps chanting to Lakshmi, releasing tension through extended exhale, quieting the mind with mudra, or awakening full-body breath through Cosmic breathing.
The evening concludes with a restorative crystal bowl sound healing savasana, allowing the vibrations to integrate your practice and guide you into deep rest and inner harmony.
