Meet Jill Trenholm
Jill Trenholm is a Sedona-based bronze sculptor, musician, and storyteller whose work explores themes of healing, unity, and human dignity. Born in Sheridan, Wyoming, and raised in the intermountain West by a forest-service father and a kindergarten-teacher mother, Jill developed an early and lasting connection to the natural world — one that continues to shape the textures, forms, and creatures found throughout her sculpture today.
Jill's path to bronze work wound through Los Angeles, where she spent nearly two decades as a freelance sculptor and toy painter for companies including Disney and Applause, and later created the internationally sold collectible figurine series In a Nutshell, which brought her to national and international giftware shows and a featured spot on QVC.
After relocating to Sedona, Jill met legendary bronze sculptor John Soderberg and became his student, then his protégée — eventually serving as his caretaker in his final years. She now carries his methods forward, teaching new bronze artists from her own Trenholm Sculpture Studio in Sedona. Her exhibition Mastery in Motion, presented with the Fine Art Museum of Sedona, honors both her own artistic voice and her deep bond with Soderberg, exploring how a rigid, cold medium like bronze can be made to feel alive and in motion.
Beyond sculpture, Jill is an accomplished singer-songwriter — she earned a vocal scholarship to Utah State University and has opened for Michael McDonald — as well as an author of children's books.
Her recent work includes The Deer Woman, created to honor and raise awareness for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives movement, and the Tree of Oneness, a piece celebrating the interconnectedness of humanity and the living world — now the inspiration for the community mural at Sedonya's Oneness Weekend.

Mastery in Motion & The Tree of Oneness
An Evening of Music, Poetry Art & Community
Saturday, August 1, 2026
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Sedonya Conscious Living Center
120 Deer Trail Drive, Sedona, Arizona
Presented in collaboration with the Fine Art Museum of Sedona and Sedonya Conscious Living Center
For one special evening, art leaves the gallery and becomes something we experience together.
Inspired by Jill Trenholm's acclaimed exhibition Mastery in Motion, currently on display through the Fine Art Museum of Sedona, this gathering brings together art, storytelling, live music, ceremony, and community in a celebration of creativity, connection, and oneness.
Journey beyond the canvas as Jill shares the stories and inspiration behind selected works from the exhibition, including the Tree of Oneness—a piece celebrating the interconnectedness of humanity and the living world.
As the evening unfolds, you'll be invited to become part of the artwork itself. Jill has created a large-scale Tree of Oneness Community Mural at Sedonya, where you'll dip your hands in paint and add your own handprint.
Each handprint represents an individual story; together they become a living work of art—a lasting reminder that while each of us walks our own path, we are all branches of the same tree.
Throughout the evening:
-
Opening Portal Gong Ceremony with Sonya Belisle
-
Stories and insights behind Mastery in Motion
-
The Tree of Oneness and its message of connection
-
Live music and sound experiences
-
Conversation celebrating creativity, connection, and unity
Whether you're an artist, collector, seeker, musician, healer, or simply curious, we invite you to join us for an evening celebrating the extraordinary things that happen when art, music, and community come together.
Every 1 Is Welcome.
