The Circle

A Space for Profound Conversations

Welcome to a space where we explore the profound and transformative journey of conscious death and conscious grieving, led by Dr. Linda Weaver, a passionate expert with a rich background in metaphysics and a heart devoted to the realms of death and grief.

Delve into your thoughts, feelings, and fears surrounding death in a safe, nurturing environment — unpacking learned patterns and beliefs that shape your perception of the transition from the physical vessel to the ethereal world.

Conscious grieving begins with understanding that everything and everyone in this world is impermanent. Together we navigate the depths of our souls and find the light that shines even in the darkest of times.

Dr. Linda Weaver

Metaphysician, Grief Specialist & End of Life Doula

Dr. Linda Weaver is a deeply compassionate professional whose life's work explores the intricacies of metaphysics while offering guidance as a grief specialist and End of Life Doula. She holds a PhD in Metaphysics with specialties in Death and Grief from the International School of Metaphysics in Sedona, following a Master's degree focused on the transformative potential of words and a Bachelor's degree in psychology from SUNY Purchase. Her doctoral thesis, "The Final Surrender and Beyond," reflects her deep understanding of the human experience and the metaphysical realms.

A Note from Kahlil Gibran

For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

Insight · Worth Knowing Anyway

What We Still Get Wrong About Grief

Dr. Weaver's work draws on a field that's still remarkably young — and still correcting decades-old assumptions.

01

Borrowed Stages

The famous 'five stages of grief' were originally described by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross for the dying themselves, not for those left behind — decades of grief literature applied it to mourners anyway.

02

A New Profession

End of Life Doulas have only existed as a formal role since the early 2000s, modeled directly on birth doulas — support at the threshold of life, mirrored at its close.

03

Impermanence, Not Tragedy

Many contemplative traditions treat impermanence (Buddhism's anicca) not as a sorrowful fact but as the very thing that makes any moment worth noticing.

Special Instructions

Before yougather

This is tender territory — a few small preparations help you arrive ready to receive and be received.

I

Arrive with space around you

If possible, avoid rushing in directly from a demanding day. Give yourself a few quiet minutes beforehand — this conversation asks for presence, not performance.

II

What to bring

Tissues if you think you may need them, a journal if writing helps you process, and any questions or experiences around death and grief you'd like held by the group — sharing is always invited, never required.

III

Come as you are

There is no right way to feel about death or grief here. Whatever you're carrying — fear, curiosity, fresh loss, old loss — is welcome exactly as it is.

Testimonials

Voices from the Room

I came in carrying so much fear about my mother's passing, and Linda gave me language and permission I didn't know I needed. I left lighter.
Patricia H.
This wasn't what I expected a grief circle to feel like. It was gentle, honest, and genuinely healing rather than heavy.
Marcus T.
Dr. Weaver holds this space with such tenderness. I've been to a few of these now and each time I understand my own grief a little more.
Renee O.
